Position SummaryThe Texas Stock Exchange is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to own and scale our data and analytics is a highly visible hands-on leadership role that blends architecture software engineering and product thinking. Youll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to build data-driven systems that power our platform. The ideal candidate is a Software Engineer with full-stack experience and a passion for data engineering AI/ML and financial technology.Key ResponsibilitiesLead our technical design development and deployment of solutions.Architect and build scalable secure and maintainable pipelines and applications.Collaborate with product data and operations teams to define business problems and translate them into end-to-end technical solutions.Contribute to our broader engineering stack including TypeScript React PySpark SQL and Python.Stay up to date with emerging technologies particularly in AI/ML and help assess their relevance to TXSEs evolving architecture.Help shape the technical culture and engineering practices of a fast-paced early-stage fintech environment.Required Qualifications7 years of professional software engineering experience with strong full-stack development skills.Proficiency in Python TypeScript PySpark SQL and React.Deep understanding of data engineering.Proven experience in system design and working with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS and Azure preferred).Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.Preferred Qualifications Experience working in fintech capital markets or startup environments.Familiarity with AI/ML tooling and model deploymentKnowledge of data privacy security and compliance requirements in financial services.
