Job SummaryThe Lead System Administrator will address software performance related support issues and provide first and second level service desk support. This role will also implement and maintain cloud-based software service addition this senior level role will provide fourth level service desk support and act as an escalation point for complex application support issues. This role will lead project teams for large IT project initiatives and mentor and coach team members.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead project teams for large IT project initiativesMentor and coach System Administrators on an informal basisDefine review and provide oversight for departmental documentation for software applications including cloud related architecturesWork with Project Managers or serve as a Project Manager and develop project scopes estimates milestones and timelinesImplement maintain configure and integrate F&G software to meet the organizations requirementsOversight of applications including cloud applications and infrastructureDefine system performance and utilization reportsLead the management and maintenance of the companys virtualization environments including how software applications interact with virtualization environmentsResearch identify and evaluate new software and services within the IT fieldProvide technical assistance and mentoring to technical team members to increase skill sets and understanding of software related systems and architectural designDirect activities of vendors suppliers distributors and contract consultantsMaintain a good working knowledge of current industry standards relating to enterprise software applications and how they are installed configured and supported in an enterprise environmentResponsible for development and documentation of corporate policies and procedures as related to software systems which includes device use and securityProvide fourth level service desk support beyond the first second and third level help desk expertise or security capabilitiesAct as an escalation point for complex application support issuesRemain abreast of emerging and evolving technologies within enterprise software applications and packages to assist in setting strategic direction of the core service offerings for the firmWork with the team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based software service solutions for the companySupport and migrate complex multi-tier applications on cloud platformsManage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelinesIndependently direct team as well as contribute individually to project and solution outcomesLead and initiate changes to improve software support of related business processesLead support and interact with various IT teams and LOBsExperience & Education RequirementsBachelors degree (preferred emphasis in computer science or MIS) or equivalent experience8-9 years of experience in Software System AdministrationExperience with Horizon View ESXi and server virtualization including technical knowledge in creating maintaining and troubleshooting virtual environmentsIn-depth understanding and working knowledge of various versions of Microsoft 365 including experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePointExperience with Salesforce SharePoint and ImageRightIn-depth understanding of DNS E-Mail Routing Email Tracking SMTP / application Mail Relay Disaster Recovery concepts - Single item single mailbox Exchange Server Exchange SiteADFS & SSO implementation and troubleshootingExperience with SOA applications and cloud-based services preferably AWS or AzureThorough knowledge of Active Directory Administration and Management including user group and GPO implementationAccomplished in managing and controlling multiple projects and working within a team environmentKnowledge of ITIL and Industry best practicesPreferred RequirementsExperience working within an IT organization in insurance or financial servicesCloud Security Certification and/or OpenStack Administrator CertificationExperience leading software engineers or leadership trainingExperience working within an effective SOX/internal control environmentPrior leadership experienceSkills & AbilitiesInterpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and business unitsOrganizational communication and time management skillsAnalytical problem solving and decision-making skillsAbility to work in a team environment as well as develop and mentor less experienced team membersDemonstrated ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously within a team environmentStrong technical documentation ability#LI-MB1 #LI-RemoteAdditional Information Work EnvironmentsF&G believes in an employee-centric flexible environment which is why we offer the ability for in-office hybrid and remote work arrangements.
