The Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design development and implementation of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. This position requires a background in systems engineering and experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) systems development and implementation processes.What You Will DoServe as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the programManage configuration process performs functional analysis timeline analysis detail trade studies requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsPartner with the Program Chief Engineer in ensuring the engineering team aligns to cost/scheduleProvide technical directions to multi-disciplinary program teamsImplement and ensure adherence to systems engineering processes throughout the program lifecycleOversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation including system specifications design documents and test plansCoordinate system engineering activities including requirements analysis system design integration and testingConduct system-level trade studies and performance analysisParticipate in design reviews technical meetings and customer presentationsSupport program management with technical risk assessments and mitigation strategiesEnsures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical schedule and cost constraints. Performs architectural explorationDecomposes customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirementsQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior systems engineering experienceExperience managing the full lifecycle of Electronic Warfare (EW) RADAR and/or RF products/systems encompassing development production or sustainment along with systems design and requirements engineering experienceExperience planning managing and/or leading the execution of Electronic Warfare (EW) or Radar systems integration verification and validation activities in laboratory or field environmentsActive and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceQualifications We PreferActive DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five yearsExperience delivering technical briefs to subcontractors senior executives and customersExperience leading cross-functional teams to resolve technical problems in an environment involving multiple stakeholdersModel Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically) digital thread concepts digital engineering MBSE with DevSecOps)Experience in preparing and presenting reports and briefings both orally and in writingMatlab/Simulink DOORS DNG Cameo Jira and ConfluenceEarned Value Management / Cost Account Management experienceMillimeter and microwave RF design as well as experience in digital signal processingWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions behaviors and performance with a vision for a safer more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
