The Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design development and implementation of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. This position requires a background in systems engineering and experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) systems development and implementation processes.What You Will DoServe as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the programManage configuration process performs functional analysis timeline analysis detail trade studies requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsPartner with the Program Chief Engineer in ensuring the engineering team aligns to cost/scheduleProvide technical directions to multi-disciplinary program teamsImplement and ensure adherence to systems engineering processes throughout the program lifecycleOversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation including system specifications design documents and test plansCoordinate system engineering activities including requirements analysis system design integration and testingConduct system-level trade studies and performance analysisParticipate in design reviews technical meetings and customer presentationsSupport program management with technical risk assessments and mitigation strategiesEnsures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical schedule and cost constraints. Performs architectural explorationDecomposes customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirementsQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior systems engineering experienceExperience managing the full lifecycle of Electronic Warfare (EW) RADAR and/or RF products/systems encompassing development production or sustainment along with systems design and requirements engineering experienceExperience planning managing and/or leading the execution of Electronic Warfare (EW) or Radar systems integration verification and validation activities in laboratory or field environmentsActive and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
