Our school has established an excellent reputation in our community. Our director, staff, teachers, and families work together to guide, nurture, and educate our children from infancy to preschool age. Our school continuously fosters a loving, caring, and happy environment for the children in our care. We also continuously value and support our teachers and staff. Job Responsibilities:•Responsible for the direction and supervision of a group of children & performs activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each child •Develop an age-appropriate program using the school curriculum along with the curriculum tool •Employ a variety of educational techniques (lesson plans, storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children •Assess children’s progress and report to parents • Interactions expressive of genuine warmth and concern for children, as well as an understanding of their developmental needs •Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem •Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve conflicts •Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times •Communicate with parents regularly •Collaborate with other teachers and staff •Ability to accept changes in schedules & classrooms •Attend staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions •Must have the ability to lift a child and lower yourself to the ground and stand without assistance. Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety sanitation standards •Know and follow current Department of Human Services (DHS) policies, procedures, and regulations Job TypeFull-time Number of Jobs Available:1 Required Education:A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, or a bachelor’s degree with 30 credit hours in the above fields. Or An associate degree in early childhood education, development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, and 2 years of experience with children, or an Associate Degree with 30 credit hours in the fields above, with 3 years of experience with children.
