What You'll DoThe Technology Engineering Principal Solution Architect is responsible for providing technical expertise and architectural solutions for Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with focus on identity management and optimization of Microsoft cloud services.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.Design and implement vendor-neutral identity and access management architecture that integrates with various enterprise systemsDevelop comprehensive IAM strategies leveraging best practices across multiple platforms while maintaining strong expertise in Microsoft identity solutionsAnalyze and communicate industry trends in identity management technologies that benefit OCC to IT managementDrive short- and long-term architecture strategy for enterprise identity services, including integration with Microsoft 365 services, Entra ID, and other identity providersConduct end-to-end technical plan design for identity management solutions across multiple platformsDesign and participate in proof of concepts to enable new identity services that work across heterogeneous environmentsDevelop architectural designs for implementation of enterprise identity solutions with emphasis on interoperabilityPerform impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems for implementation of new identity servicesEstablish identity management standards and ensure compatibility and integration across the enterprise ecosystemEnsure teams maintain and execute organizational policies, procedures and controls, configuration management, and release managementWork with cross-functional teams to train and transition to optimized identity management solutionsOptimize, document, and support identity management components across platformsTake ownership of identity management discipline and manage all Level 2 related issues in the enterprise ecosystemEvaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency of identity management systemsSupervisory Responsibilities:NoneQualifications:The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary functions.Experience managing enterprise identity solutions with strong Microsoft 365 backgroundDeep expertise in identity management solutions including Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and other major IAM platformsExperience with cloud infrastructure services including virtual desktop solutionsStrong knowledge of information protection and rights management across platformsGood understanding of how different identity services interact in an enterprise environmentAbility to investigate and perform Root Cause Analysis on reported issues and suggest workarounds before implementing permanent fixesAct as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting and resolving complex identity problems across platformsPartner effectively with different infrastructure and development teamsWork independently, prioritize existing projects, and proactively determine areas requiring additional attentionCollaborate with infrastructure teams, product managers, development teams and architects to provide platform-related knowledgeTechnical Skills:Strong expertise in enterprise identity management architectures and implementationsDeep knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, and hybrid identity solutionsExperience with federation technologies and cross-platform identity integrationKnowledge of information protection and rights management across solutionsExperience with cloud infrastructure services including virtual desktop solutionsExperience with automation and scripting for identity management (PowerShell, Python, etc.)Working knowledge of identity administration tools across platformsExperience with API-based identity managementKnowledge of modern authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, etc.)Experience with enterprise licensing models and optimization strategiesEducation and/or Experience:10+ years of experience in identity management technologies with strong focus on Microsoft identity solutions and cross-platform integrationCertificates or Licenses:Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator ExpertAdditional industry certifications such as Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP) or IDPro certification highly valuedITIL Certification(s)About UsThe Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package as noted on www.theocc.com/careers All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.Salary Range$169,200.00 - $279,700.00Incentive Range23% to 30%This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range).
