We are seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager (Director level individual contributor) to lead learn and grow with our team! This unique role will be based in Toronto Canada (highly preferred) or Boston USA supporting our transformation journey in the Global High Net Worth (GHNW) business.Our GHNW business is undergoing a three-year transformation to build a new technology platform for our international broker business expanding across Asia and other jurisdictions. Recent milestones include the first major implementation of Salesforce for New Business and Underwriting with ongoing initiatives in Policy Administration Compensation Customer/Broker Servicing Portal Correspondence and other areas to build the new digital platform.You will lead multiple initiatives collaborating with stakeholders across geographic locations and be instrumental in delivering value to our end customers. We are looking for passionate motivated individuals to join our exciting journey as we grow pioneer and innovate!Work Arrangement & LocationHybrid: 3 days in office 2 days from home; Remote working option is not available.Office Location: Boston USA (preferred) or Toronto - CanadaWork timings: This role will require to be on call with Manulife Asia team early AM EST and/or evening EST hours on a regular basis.Position ResponsibilitiesProgram management of technology projects supporting various business functions (Product & Pricing Operations Marketing Distribution Finance and others) including:Interacting with global business users to gather high-level project scopeSupporting business in preparing business cases or BoW exercisesCreating/supporting resource strategy and onboardingManaging stakeholder/sponsor expectations and ensuring project deliveryPreparing and communicating all project-related plans (project quality communication)Translate requirements for multi-disciplinary complex programs into technical specifications applicable across broad range of projectsCoordinating with teams across locations to develop IT project release roadmap/planManaging multiple workstreams/country teams and overseeing SDLC for end-to-end deliveryMonitoring and reporting status to stakeholders throughout the program lifecycleSetting guidelines to ensure deliverables follow Manulife standardsLeading and setting up production operation team post-implementationEnsuring creation of all projects deliverable documents (e.g. data mapping test cases test plan system delivery plan handover)Managing and communicating project milestones (scope cost time)Preparing/reviewing SOW documents including IT budgetsNegotiating/managing vendor deliverables from a project perspectiveRequired QualificationsDegree in Information Systems/Technology or related discipline with a strong technical backgroundAt least 10 years IT industry experienceAt least 5 years of in-depth project/program management experienceAt least 5 years of experience in technical development prior to project managementExperience leading complex large IT system rollouts in financial institutionsSkilled in managing senior stakeholders and IT steercoPreferred experience with global/regional/local projectsWell-versed in all SDLC phases; experienced in traditional and agile projectsAbility to build trusted partnerships with Asia regional and global stakeholders (IT and Business)Hands-on in preparing/reviewing high-quality IT project management documentsStrong experience managing virtual teamsExperience in life insurance administration systems and finance industry preferredKnowledge of JAVA Angular microservices data management preferredExcellent presentation communication and interpersonal skillsFast learner able to acquire new technology quicklyPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in large complex environment is a definite plusExperience from large Financial instituition is a definite plusWhen you join our team:Well empower you to learn and grow the career you want.Well recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team well support you in shaping the future you want to see.#LI-JHAbout Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
