Job ID:112361The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities.Summary/Location - Onsite: Johnstown, PALeonardo DRS Naval Electronics has an immediate opening for a Lead Test Technician to provide technical support to engineers in performing standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and record the results for our Large Systems/Avionics focus factories.This position is based onsite in our Display, Processing, and Networking Center of Excellence in Johnstown, PA.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to engineers on a variety of complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipmentWork from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches and running sheets of significant complexityInterpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rulesEnsure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certificationLead training new team membersInterface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materialsPerform Key Performance Indicators:Meet production deadlinesQuality of finished product (Pass/fail rates)Compliance outcomesDiagnose cause of electrical, optical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenanceModify a variety of complex electrical prototypes to correct functional deviationsPerform standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and record resultsQualificationsRequires an associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferredRequire knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment, alignment and troubleshooting test failuresMust demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills.Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practicesExperienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview.Experience with MRP a plus.Must have good mechanical skillsTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
