Job Description SummaryThe Lead Warranty Process Tools and Claims Manager will serve the Global Site Issue Management (GSIM) team and report directly to the NU Global Warranty Leader. This role is responsible for supporting NU Warranty claims processes and tools in addition to evaluating and dispositioning NU Warranty claims.Job DescriptionEssential Functions: Support definition and execution of Warranty Initiatives across HDNU and ServicesMaintain Warranty Training guides PowerNow modules eWarranty activation and links to related systems to ensure User access and understanding.Train Warranty team members and GEV site representatives (CPM/CSL) on Warranty Training guides utilization location and feedback processesOversee planning execution and completion of claim audits ensuring thorough and accurate reviewsExecute aligned region/site warranty claim evaluation and disposition in line with Warranty Policy and Standard WorkInterpret Customer NU Contract Warranty terms and conditions to determine claim validityReview technical case resolution to support claim validity and dispositionUse Lean to drive culture continuous improvement and workstream productivityGenerate ideas to maximize Customer value and GEV business growthBasic Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college or High School Diploma/GED plus 6 years experience in warranty claims processing (contract terms and conditions warranty policy).Desired Characteristics Servant leadership mindsetIdentify opportunities for improvement and take the lead in initiating projects to address themHighly collaborative with demonstrated capability for driving changeAbility to identify Customer & business challenges and create ideas that meet both GEV and customer interestsAt least 3 years of combined experience with Power Generation/heavy equipment installation operation service or technical supportStrong communication & interpersonal skillsBrings high level of energy to the workplace and inspires othersDemonstrated capability in working within a matrixed global organizationCustomer-focused with clear concise written and oral communications to the appropriate levelRestless dissatisfaction with the way things are done focused on continuous improvementData driven but decisive despite ambiguityHumble open collaborative and continuously learningPassionate team memberTrack record of building trust and credibility with others through resultsConfidence to make decisions based on understanding product/process risksStretches limits with thinking challenges the status quoBasic knowledge of Six Sigma DMAIC 3 x 5 Whys or other Root Cause techniquesBasic knowledge of LEAN techniquesNote:To comply with US immigration and other legal requirements it is necessary to specify the minimum number of years experience required for any role based within the USA. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
