JOB DETAILSPay Rate: $29.00 - $31.00 per hourDuties and ResponsibilitiesFit and Weld in a fast-paced production shop under the direction of the Supervisor following established procedures and approved processes. Manage the scheduling activities of the shop floor. Able to identify personnel shortages from day to dayAssist supervisor with production scheduling operations in your department so they are producing on schedule to be manufactured on timePlan schedule assemble pre-engineered building components using GMAW and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders meet inventory requirements and deliver quality manufactured products in a timely fashionCommunicate line problems parts shortages engineering problems etc. to managementMaintain daily communication with team members and management to plan for the day/week/monthContinuously seek new and innovative ways to solve problems while maintaining focus on continuous improvementSupport team leaders/members in order to implement quality and productivity improvements through continuous improvement projectsAssist with Human Resources related functions including employee hiring and retention performance reviews progressive discipline and enforcement of Cornerstones policies and proceduresEmphasis on developing labor cost reduction system as well as maximizing efficiencyBalance safety quality productivity and employee morale to achieve positive results in all areasEnsure KPI metrics goals for Safety Quality Delivery Cost and Team are met.Qualifications : High school GED or equivalent required welding trade school certificate of completion or Associates degree in Welding preferred.Minimum 3 yrs. recent experience in manufacturingThorough knowledge of team building processesHas attained full proficiency in M.I.G. welding and Plasma Arc cutting.Production planning background preferredSafety oriented must adhere to all company safety policiesExposure to 5S & Rapid Improvement programs preferredQuality drivenEfficiency drivenInterpret blueprint drawingsExcel/Word experience is preferredWorks under moderate supervisionReports to a manager or supervisorOver-head crane experience preferredWillingness to communicate verbally in group meetingsAdditional Information : Site Address: 550 Industry Way Atwater CA Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live work and play.
