Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLeasing Consultant – Virginia Beach, VABurlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications to be considered for a full-time Leasing Consultant position at Twin Canal Village in Virginia Beach, VA. We pride ourselves on the quality living experience we provide to our residents and therefore are considering individuals with demonstrated abilities in the areas of customer service and resident relations.Qualified applicants must have previous leasing and/or customer service experience. This full-time position requires availability Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.The successful Leasing Consultant will:Perform activities related to apartment rental to include providing apartment tours, qualifying prospective residents, preparing documentation and completing move-in proceduresMaintain resident relations by providing excellent customer service and participating in resident promotions or functions as required by managementMeet with current residents regarding lease renewal and ratesRepresent the property community in a positive manner and to convey the benefits of the community to prospective residentsProactively participate in the team effort to accomplish desired resultsParticipate in staff meetings as requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Excellent customer service, follow-up, and follow-through skills a mustAbility to communicate effectively in order to communicate issues, problems, ideas, concerns and information on work progressAbility to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general publicMinimum of two years sales/leasing experience or equivalent preferredPrevious project-based Section 8 and LIHTC experience a mustAbility to follow directives and work with minimum supervisionFamiliar with office operating machines i.e. fax, copier, binders, etc.Proficient computer skills such as to perform essential functionsBasic math and bookkeeping skills requiredMust have basic understanding of the English language, and be able to communicate effectively and professionallyValid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record may be required.If you meet the basic requirements as outlined above, please apply here today!Competitive pay and benefits package will be discussed during interviews.
