Pay Range: $69,000 - $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications

The Leave Specialist II position exists to serve as the primary contact to support our HR Generalist, Team Members, Legal, and our 3rd Party Leave Administrator to ensure accurate, timely and compliant leave administration. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless coordination of leave, benefits, pay, RTW process, and system updates
Responsibilities
Leave Administration
Primary Contact: Serve as the primary contact for HR Generalist, Leaders and Third Party Administrator throughout a TM’s leave cycleBenefits & Pay: Provide clear communication regarding benefits, pay continuation and other required actionsPayroll Coordination
Supplemental Leaves: Coordinate supplemental leave pay and ensure accuracy with the Payroll TeamPay Discrepancies: Partner with payroll to resolve any pay discrepancies and ensure accurate team member compensationPay Validation: Validate leave-related pay calculations, including caregiver and childbirth recovery leavesSystem Administration and Data Management
Accuracy: Maintain accurate leave records within WorkdayAudit: Audit leave statuses, RTW dates and payroll integrationsProcess Improvement: Identify any process improvements and automation opportunitiesCompliance and Risk Management
Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive team member information appropriatelyCompliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws including FMLA, ADA, CFRA, PDL, and paid leave programsStandardize Process: Create and support standardized processes and documentation to reduce compliance riskVendor Coordination
Leave Coordination: Partner with third-party leave administrator to ensure accuracyService Level: Monitor vendor service level and communication effectivenessEscalation: Escalate delayed or inaccurate leave cases to ensure timely resolutionReturn to Work Coordination: Coordinate RTW with HR, Leaders and team members to facilitate a smooth transition back to workADA Accommodations: Coordinate accommodations and ADA interactive process with legal and HR when necessaryQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferredProfessional HR certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR is highly preferred3-5 years of experience in leave administration or HR OperationsExperience with Workday, or similar HRIS and leave management softwareDetail-oriented with strong follow-throughContinuous improvement mindsetAbility to navigate sensitive team member situations with empathy and professionalismExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex legal requirements with empathy and clarityWhat We Offer
