Lecturer or Associate Lecturer, Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering at University of Central Florida

The OpportunityThe Department of Civil Environmental and Construction Engineering (CECE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando Florida invites applicants for a full-time 9-month non-tenure earning lecturer or associate lecturer position with an anticipated start date of August 8 2026. The primary responsibility of the position is teaching undergraduate courses in civil engineering including engineering science (e.g. Statics) core engineering (e.g. engineering economics) and transportation engineering (e.g. transportation analytics urban systems design) courses. Secondary responsibilities include assessment related activities service to the department and may include teaching graduate courses in degree specialty to support the department. The selected candidate is expected to support the departments teaching mission.With more than 1250 undergraduate and 200 graduate students the CECE Department offers doctoral and masters programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering and ABET-accredited bachelors programs in Civil Environmental and Construction Engineering. Over 30 tenured/tenure-track faculty members and 7 lecturers conduct the instructional and research activities in addition to a vibrant community of adjunct faculty.
