Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Title: Legal Collector Location: Kansas City, MO Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | $70-75,000 annually Overview: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company who is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in collections within a legal or professional services environment, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage sensitive client accounts with professionalism and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Contact clients regarding past-due accounts and negotiate payment arrangements. Review and interpret legal documents related to collections, including judgments and payment agreements. Maintain accurate records of collection activities and communications. Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Prepare reports on collection status and progress for management. Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in collections, preferably in a legal or professional services setting. Knowledge of collection laws and regulations (FDCPA, state-specific requirements). Strong communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collection software.
