We are over 1000 people based out of 15 offices and we deliver work for sports and entertainment businesses of all shapes and sizes all over the world.Our Legal Team plays an integral role in this fast-paced high-growth and entrepreneurial organization at the heart of the sports and entertainment industry enabling the business across all clients teams and countries. This hire of a newly created role as Legal Counsel provides significant scope for career growth and personal development with every day providing new opportunities to have a direct impact on cutting-edge sports and entertainment technology and content matters working with some of the worlds leading rights holders.RESPONSIBILITIESLead counsel for Two Circles North American business acting as primary legal point of contact for all stakeholders and working as a key part of Two Circles global legal teamResponsibility for all aspects of Two Circles North American contracting particularly in relation to product development and SaaS contracts with significant work also relating to sports content media and commercial strategySupporting on legal aspects of Two Circles global technology work on behalf of leading international rights holders and properties advising on high-profile complex agreements and relevant regulatory/commercial issuesWide expertise as a generalist in-house counsel and advising colleagues across other areas of law as required (including commercial contracts data protection IP corporate employment and regulatory) we dont expect you to be an expert in all these areas but an ambition to broaden your experience will be crucialLeading impactful global business change programs such as innovative implementation of legal tech as Two Circles continues to scale faster and further globallyREQUIREMENTS4 years of experience at a leading law firm and/or corporate legal departmentBachelors Degree License to practice law in NY California Missouri or other appropriate state for Two Circles businessSignificant prior experience negotiating technology contracts and advising on product matters requiredStrong commercial acumen and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate legal knowledge into commercially and operationally oriented solutionsProactive with a strong sense of personal responsibility to drive the business forward and an ability to work autonomously on a wide variety of projectsComfortable partnering with senior executives on key strategic decisions whilst also able to autonomously draft and negotiate client/supplier contracts to a high levelA demonstrable interest in the business of sports and entertainment familiarity with its technology landscape and a clear ambition to build a long-term career in sports and entertainmentExperience working in sports content and/or commercial strategy preferredExperience working with or in high-growth technology companies and a desire to take a hands-on approach for developing the business from withinInternational legal experience in EMEA Australia India and/or speaking French or German a working professional standard is advantageousThe range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of Two Circles in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience training associated responsibilities and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
