Job Details
Responsibilities
- Preparing, formatting, and proofreading pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and trial binders.
- Filing documents with Superior and Federal courts, managing calendaring and court deadlines, and maintaining electronic case files.
- Securing medical records/billing, setting medical appointments, and communicating with clients, insurance adjusters, and defense counsel.
- Scheduling depositions, mediations, and hearings; handling travel arrangements; and managing attorney time entry.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in personal injury or civil litigation law firms.
- Strong knowledge of California Superior and Federal court rules.
- Proficiency in e-filing systems and high-level MS Word skills.
- Experience with case management software and MS Office.
- High school diploma required; paralegal certificate is a plus.
