The major consists of a common core and a choice of several tracks designed to meet diverse student interests and needs not only for teaching in schools but also for leadership in government non-profit organizations and business and for graduate education in law counseling social work and services public affairs and administration and educational Studies option provides excellent preparation for Elementary teaching while the Liberal Arts optionprovides well-rounded preparation for post-baccalaureate degrees and for employment in business non-profit and government organizations.TYPICAL ACTIVITIESTeach one or more sections of the introductory course (CAL 2970) the gateway course (CAL 3970) and senior assessment and writing course (CAL 5900) hold office hours grade student work communicate with the coordinator and other personnel.
