DescriptionTITLELibrary Strategic Engagement SpecialistJOB SUMMARYThe Library Strategic Engagement Specialist supports the TWU Libraries outreach and engagement initiatives by coordinating student programming maintaining social media presence and representing the library across campus. This position coordinates library programming efforts from concept through completion maintaining event inventory and supplies and scheduling strategic content for digital platforms. The Specialist collaborates with campus partners and student organizations to enhance library visibility tracks engagement metrics to assess program effectiveness and assists with promotional materials and special projects that advance the librarys strategic goals. Work is performed under limited supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluations system and in accordance with the University Policies and Procedures.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSReports to: Director Library Strategic EngagementSupervises: May supervise Student AssistantsESSENTIAL DUTIES -May include but not limited to the following:Provides general assistance in library assessment as needed.Carries out unit-related special projects.Supports campus and library events.Creates student programming for TWU LibrariesMaintains an inventory for supplies and materials needed for events and programmingCreates a strategic content calendar for social mediaSchedules approved content on social media and TWU platformsAssists with promotional material developmentCollaborate with student groups and campus departmentsOversee logistical details of library events from concept to post-event reportingTracks event participation and engagementRepresents TWU Libraries to external bodies across campus.ADDITIONAL DUTIESEngages in continuing education activities.Suggests process improvements to inform new and existing workflows.Serves on library and university committees.Performs other duties as requested.EDUCATIONBachelors degree required.
