JOB TITLE: Licensed A&P Mechanic LOCATION: Bridgeport WV PAY RATE: $33-34/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. Job Details: Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension) Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation Benefits: Medical dental and vision (Cigna) Perks: Bonus potential Priority access via Tier 1 supplier Openings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S. Qualifying Questions: Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary Summary: Perform heavy maintenance (C-Checks) on various regional jet airframes Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures Complete all assigned tasks safely and within allotted time frames Inspect and repair aircraft following FAA or applicable regulatory guidelines Consult maintenance blueprints manuals and other documents to assist with troubleshooting and repairs Perform general mechanical and electrical maintenance and complex repairs on aircraft structures and systems Conduct troubleshooting installations removals and inspections on various aircraft Operate ground support equipment as required Document aircraft maintenance actions accurately in a computer-based system Requirements: FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License required Minimum of 3 years work experience as an Aircraft Technician (preferred) MRO experience is a plus CRJ airframe experience is a plus Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) is a plus Possess basic set of tools Strong troubleshooting skills Comfortable with technology and entering maintenance actions into a computer system Effective verbal and written communication skills for aircraft maintenance actions Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge if applicable High school diploma or equivalent required Must be comfortable with shift work in a 24/7 operation including 12-hour day night and weekend shifts Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
