Job Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our behavioral health team. In this role, you will deliver compassionate, one-on-one virtual therapy for a diverse patient population in a virtual telehealth environment. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, promoting resilience and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through evidence-based practices and collaborative care. You must already have your individual NPI number, a minimum of 2+ years of experience in therapy for adults, a desktop or laptop computer with a reliable internet connection and a webcam. You must currently reside in the United States and be licensed. Unfortunately, we are not accepting interns requiring supervision.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and mental health screenings, utilizing clinical research methods and medical terminology.
• Deliver individual sessions using modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) tailored to each client’s needs.
• Educate patients and their families when applicable on mental health conditions, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all patient information.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical records (EMR systems), adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams when necessary to coordinate care plans for clients with complex needs.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent. If you have additional state licensures that is a plus.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy, mental health counseling, or behavioral health settings with a focus on adults.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding (CPT coding), and familiarity with ICD-9/10/ICD coding for diagnostic purposes.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and data collection; familiarity with medical records management is essential.
• Excellent skills in intake procedures, case management, patient assessment, crisis management, and social work principles.
• Ability to apply evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), psychopharmacology knowledge when applicable, and culturally sensitive approaches if desired.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including case managers and family members.
