We are expanding our scope of services to include lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments in conjunction with housing rehabilitation and reconstruction project implementation.About the Role:H2Bravo is seeking experienced Residential Home Inspectors to perform on-site property inspections for the City of Deerfield Beach’s federally and state-funded housing rehabilitation programs. Inspectors will assess residential structures, document conditions, identify eligible repairs, and prepare detailed cost estimates to support program eligibility and funding determinations. The role involves field inspections, documentation of construction conditions, and verification of completed work under compliance with applicable HUD, FEMA, and City of Deerfield Beach regulations. This is a contract position based in Deerfield Beach, Florida, ideal for licensed professionals seeking to contribute to community resilience and housing recovery efforts.Minimum Qualifications:Active State of Florida Home Inspector License (Required)Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential home inspection, damage assessment, or construction inspectionKnowledge of Florida Building Code and local permitting requirementsStrong familiarity with federal or state housing rehabilitation programsProficiency with Microsoft Office, mobile inspection platforms, and digital photo documentationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with CDBG-DR, FEMA, or other government-funded housing programsWorking knowledge of Xactimate, RSMeans, or comparable estimating softwarePrior experience coordinating with municipal housing departments or community development agenciesResponsibilities:Conduct on-site residential inspections and complete standardized assessment formsIdentify and document eligible repairs, code deficiencies, and environmental hazardsPrepare cost estimates and written inspection reports consistent with City and HUD standardsPhotograph and record site conditions to verify repair needs or completed workCommunicate inspection results clearly with homeowners, contractors, and program administratorsMaintain professional conduct while representing both H2Bravo and the City of Deerfield BeachSkills:Strong attention to detail and analytical reasoning for assessing property conditionsTime management and organizational skills to handle multiple inspections dailyClear communication and customer service mindsetAbility to interpret housing rehabilitation standards, building codes, and environmental guidelines.Compensation Breakdown:Assessors are compensated based on the number of inspections performed.
