DOB Licensed Elevator Inspector at Nationtech Elevators

Job Overview Nationtech Elevators Consultion is seeking a DOB Licensed Elevator Inspector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and knowledgeable in NYC DOB elevator codes, safety standards, and inspection procedures. We are looking for someone who can perform inspections with accuracy, professionalism, and integrity.In addition there will be an additional sign in bonus and yearly bonuses. Responsibilities Conduct elevator and escalator inspections in compliance with NYC DOB regulations Complete required inspection forms, reports, and documentation accurately Ensure all work meets safety and code requirements Communicate any deficiencies, violations, or repair recommendations Coordinate with building owners, supers, and management Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service Stay current with NYC DOB updates and compliance standards Periodic inspections and witnessing of Category 1 & Category 5 tests Conduct site visits to evaluate elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and conveying systems Ensure full compliance with NYC DOB, ASME A17.1, and NYC Building Code Identify hazards, deficiencies, and violations Experience Valid NYC DOB Elevator Inspector License (Required) Minimum 5+ years experience in elevator inspection, maintenance, repair, or installation Strong understanding of NYC Building Code Chapter 30 Ability to read elevator drawings and reports Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout NYC Strong communication & report-writing skills Ability to work independently and safely in pits, machine rooms, and hoistwaysThis position offers an opportunity for qualified professionals to contribute significantly to the safety and quality of major construction projects.
