Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor. As we expand our counseling services, we are looking for a dynamic therapist, passionate about working with a range of clients served through all of our programs. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be able to work as part of a counseling team and be supported through regular counseling treatment team meetings. Areas of focus in this position would be providing counseling to adults who have experienced grief, loss, or trauma, and provide specific services in the areas of reproduction, infertility, post-partum support, pregnancy and child loss, and parents adjusting to the medical or developmental diagnosis of a child. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be able to work as part of a counseling team and be supported through regular counseling treatment team meetings. Licensure supervision available.Provide counseling to adults who have experienced grief, loss, or trauma, and provide specific services in the areas of reproduction, infertility, post-partum support, pregnancy and child loss, and parents adjusting to the medical or developmental diagnosis of a child. Skills in individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and trauma-based counseling preferred.Coursework or continuing education in perinatal mental health preferredMust have LPC, LCW, LMFT, or have LSW or LAPC and be within one full year of full licensureOpen to newly licensed professionals!Learn more about our Counseling Services here!This position is eligible for the following benefits:Medical Insurance - The Children's Home pays the ENTIRE deductible!Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceEmployer Contribution - Earn an additional $600/yr. just for being full-time!Life InsuranceLong Term DisabilitySupplemental Insurance401(k) & Match - Immediately eligible for match of 50% on up to 6% of contributions!Annual Merit IncreasesPaid Time Off (PTO) - Very Generous PTO Plan!FREE On-site parkingRequirements:Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, required.Current, Active, PA clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or LSW or LAPC and be within one year of full clinical licensureMinimum of one year experience post licensure in clinical work with adults requiredStrong knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence based therapeutic interventions for treatment requiredStrong knowledge of the impact of trauma and trauma informed interventions requiredStrong ability to build rapport with and communicate with all clients, regardless of age, preferred gender, sexual orientation, or other belief systems requiredAbility to work a flexible schedule including seeing clients after 5pm a minimum of 2 days per week required
