Your primary responsibility is to implement comprehensive counseling programs that enhance students personal development and academic success.Your responsibilities span across various school settings interacting with students teachers parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care. You provide individualized guidance and support to help students navigate academic challenges career planning and personal issues.As part of Light Street Special Education Solutions you contribute to the companys mission of improving the quality and efficiency of educational services. Your work directly supports positive outcomes for students and strengthens partnerships with schools aligning with the organizations commitment to evidence-based practices and flexible solutions in education.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesConduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students academic career and personal/social development.Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs that align with students needs and school goals.Collaborate with teachers parents and administrators to support student success and well-being.Assist students in developing academic plans and setting realistic goals for their future education and careers.Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.Facilitate workshops and classroom lessons on topics such as bullying prevention conflict resolution social emotional skills and college readiness.Advocate for students needs at IEP meetings and other student-focused discussions.Refer families and students to external mental health resources when necessary.Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress.Stay current with best practices in school counseling through ongoing professional development.Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
