Job DescriptionJob DescriptionType: Direct HirePosition: Environmental Principal/ Assistant Branch ManagerLocation: Roanoke, VirginiaHybrid/Remote: No/No JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee full lifecycle of geotechnical engineering projects.Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and plans.Perform geotechnical analysis and engineering calculations.Supervise field exploration programs and interpret geotechnical data from boring layouts, utility clearances, and laboratory tests.Perform technical review of engineering designs, drawings, plans, and specifications.Provide coaching and guidance to junior engineers and project managers.Assist with business development efforts through community involvement and client engagement.Promote company values, positive culture, and high employee engagement.Primarily involved with overseeing the preparation and review of geotechnical reports from junior staff with a strong commitment to meeting project deadlines --Management of geotechnical engineering projects, which will consist of performing boring layouts, obtaining utility clearances, supervising drill rigs, performing in-situ testing, classifying soils, determining appropriate laboratory tests, and preparing geotechnical engineering reportsBoth prepare and oversee the preparation and review of geotechnical and CMT proposals by junior staffOversee CMT projects with daily report review and assist junior staff with resolution of issues and training of field staffHost or attend project meetings with clients to follow up on delivered reports and provide technical solutions as necessaryMentor, train, and develop junior-level staffCollaborate with other managers to help make staffing decisions REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of geotechnical principles.Excellent project management and communication skills.Experience leading and developing engineering teams.Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.Business development experience REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: BS in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required. Company Descriptionhttps://nvtstaffing.com/job_board_public_detail.php?id=40951Company Descriptionhttps://nvtstaffing.com/job_board_public_detail.php?id=40951
