Job Details Oglethorpe University - Atlanta GA Full-Time Staff Masters EducationDescription General Summary:Oglethorpe University Counseling Center invites applicants for the position of Counseling Center Staff Therapist. This is a full-time 10-month position. The Staff Therapist reports to the Counseling Center Director. Duties and Responsibilities:Provide direct services to students from diverse backgrounds including individual counseling couples and group counseling to college studentsProvide crisis intervention services to students in distressConsult with faculty staff students and family/support people regarding student mental health or behavioral concerns and supportCommunicate with off-campus mental health professionals to coordinate referrals and specialized care Document all clinical contacts and maintain confidentiality in accordance with professional codes of ethics and associated state licensing laws and regulationsCoordinate one or more areas of service in the Center according to service demands (e.g. training campus outreach social media and communication outside referrals/resources)Participate in regularly scheduled Counseling Center team meetings and Student Affairs Division staff meetingsEstablish liaisons with various campus organizations and groupsOther duties as assignedQualifications Minimum Qualifications:Masters degree mental health counseling social work marriage and family therapy Licensed to practice independently in the State of GA (Licensed Psychologist Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor) Experience working with diverse and underserved populationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in college/university mental healthAbility to provide therapy in both English and SpanishExperience providing supervision to counselors in trainingCrisis management experienceExpertise in trauma substance abuse and/or eating disorder treatmentProficiency using Titanium Schedule and/or other electronic health record softwareAdditional Information: This is a full-time 10-month position from Aug 1 to May 31.Working evenings or weekends may be required.The position is an in-person position.Application InstructionsTo ensure full consideration please submit:Letter of interest which describes your interest in the position experiences based on the stated responsibilities and your demonstrated commitment to diversity equity and inclusion.Current CV/ resume.Names and contact information of three references.Work Environment/Physical Demands:Normal office environment; typically sitting at desk or table; requires use of office equipment.Required Experience:Staff IC Key Skills Experience Working With Students,Time Management,Acute Care,HTTPS,Speech Therapy,Assistive Technologies,Autism Experience,Pediatrics Experience,Home Care,Interpretation,Patient Service Experience,Phone Etiquette Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
