Licensed Veterinary Technician for Specialty Hospital Contingent at MedVet

Every day is different and theres never the same case twice!What youll do:Record and deliver organized rounds discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryEvaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessmentPartner with patient care team regarding treatment plans client communication and nursing care concernsProvide client education including but not limited to: home care instructions medications (indications adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsAssist DVM with patient assessment treatment and proceduresProvide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsInduce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresPerform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingWho you are:State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferredPrior veterinary experience required previous emergency experience desiredProficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCome as you are.
