Line Cook (AM Shift) at The Gathering Spot

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a professional AM Line Cook to prepare food to the exact Chef’s specifications and to support The Retreat's onsite restaurant. Line Cook duties will include assisting the Executive  Chef with their daily restaurant & event prep. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.ResponsibilitiesSet up and stocking stations with all necessary suppliesPrepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staffAnswer, report, and follow the Executive Chef's instructionsClean up your assigned station and take care of leftover foodStock inventory appropriatelyEnsure that food comes out simultaneously, of high quality, and in a timely fashionComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customersRequirementsProven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cookExcellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresAccuracy and speed in executing assigned tasksFamiliar with industry’s best practicesCulinary school diploma*****Candidates must be able to work from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm *****The Gathering Spot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
