As we embark on this exciting chapter, we're seeking passionate individuals to join our team and be a part of something truly special where we offer a casual upscale dining experience serving New American cuisine.Job Summary: As a Line Cook for August The Mansion you will be helping to create exceptional experiences for our customers during their visit with us by assisting in the kitchen by preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. Key Responsibilities:Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practicesEnsure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stockEnsure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roastersSeason and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experienceTurn or stir foods to ensure even cookingRespond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalismQualifications:2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceServSafe or Food Handlers certification, or willingness to obtainEffective communication skillsMust be organized, skilled with time management, and efficient in hot and cold line productionMust be able to stand for 8+ hours per shiftSkilled with the use of hand tools or machines needed for the position
