While much of our work involves travel-based roles, we also offer local assignments for those seeking opportunities closer to home.Job Summary:The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food to order during audit events, team lodging, and field office setups. This role involves following recipes, maintaining kitchen organization, ensuring food quality and presentation, and working collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver meals on time and to company standards.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, ensuring consistent quality and presentationOperate cooking equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and stovetops, ensuring they are maintained and used safelyAssist in food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients for meal serviceEnsure proper food storage and handling to meet health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environmentMaintain a clean and sanitary work station, including following all health and safety regulationsAssist in plating and presenting food according to the restaurant's or event's standardsWork efficiently in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with other kitchen staff to meet event or meal timing requirementsHelp with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and notifying the Lead Cook or Kitchen Manager of any shortagesFollow all food safety guidelines and ensure that all meals are served at the correct temperatureAssist with cleaning kitchen tools, utensils, and surfaces during and after meal serviceQualifications:Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a commercial kitchenStrong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment operationAbility to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining qualityGood communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and managementAbility to follow recipes and instructions with precision and attention to detailStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at onceAbility to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bendingFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, based on event schedulesI understand that Bridge Point may conduct background checks and/or obtain consumer and investigative reports in connection with my application or employment, as permitted by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable state laws. These reports may include information about my criminal history, employment, education, driving record, and other job-related data. I authorize the Company and its agents to obtain and use such reports and understand that I will receive a separate FCRA disclosure and authorization form. I also understand that employment may be contingent on passing a drug and/or alcohol test, and if applicable, I consent to the release of prior DOT-regulated drug and alcohol test results in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40.25.
