As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards.Ensure all food is cooked and presented properly before serving.Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper food storage.Always follows food safety and sanitation guidelines.Assist with prep work, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.Assist with inventory management and notify management of low-stock items.Handle special requests and dietary restrictions with care.Support opening and closing kitchen duties as needed.Requirements:Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or similar setting preferred.Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Culinary training or certification is a plus but not required.If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, we’d love to have you join us at Cargo!To apply, please visit www.cargotx.com.
