Job Description

A Line Cook transforms high-quality unique ingredients into authentic Italian dishes through preparing cooking and plating food items in Eatalys exciting high-volume open kitchens. Reports to the Sous Chef Manager or Chef de Cuisine.Portions cuts slices dips batters breads whips beats maintains holding temperature fries and sautésSelects cuts of meat poultry shellfish fish game or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéingPlates menu items along with appropriate garnishFollows recipes and complies with portion sizes quality standards department rules and procedures and Department of Health regulationsPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualifications : 2 years in a food preparation positionGood knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptlyDegree from a culinary arts training program preferredJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours including standing walking bending and squattingAbility to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers ovens torches etc.Additional Information : Benefits and PerksMedical Dental Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401K with match or RRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand more!The base pay range for this position is $18 - $21 per hour.Eataly is an equal employment opportunity employer.
