Line Cook- Flipside- New Restaurant Concept Opening in Clearwater Beach at Peregrine Hospitality

As a Line Cook you will be responsible for the preparation of food orders efficiently and consistently. The Line Cook will also be responsible for maintaining organization cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment throughout the kitchen.Essential FunctionsWork at various stations in assigned kitchen and prepare menu items to recipe specifications.Communicate with front-of-house staff on modifications or changes to the menu based on available products.Adapt to specific guest needs including dietary and allergy requirements.Complete opening duties including station setup food prep lists requisitioning items from storage and cleaning.Prepare and cook food items for assigned meal periods and upcoming services.Maintain cleanliness organization and sanitation of assigned station and service areas throughout the shift.Perform closing duties including workstation breakdown and proper disposal or storage of food and equipment.Follow all safety security and hygiene procedures and work collaboratively with team members across departments.Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies service procedures 4 Keys service standards and safety and security procedures.Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.Skills and AbilitiesUnderstand and align with the mission vision and goals of the hotel.Prioritize tasks work efficiently with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail speed and accuracy.Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language demonstrating excellent communication follow-up and organizational skills.Adhere to all safety protocols including proper use of PPE equipment handling and compliance with required licenses or certifications.Ability to comprehend and follow recipes.Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions using good judgment to resolve problems follow directions and collaborate effectively as part of a team.Maintain a current permit or food safety certification as required by the local government.Physical RequirementsThe minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequentlyAbility to walk and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to hear understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff vendors and guests in-person and phone conversationAbility to bend and twist push and pull stoop and kneelWork in environments with both hot and cold temperaturesAscend and descend a ladderReasonable Accommodation StatementâTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
