Apply today!Cook IIIOften includes dishwashers moving into prep, Garde Manger, or breakfast support.Core Skills & KnowledgeBasic knife skills and ability to follow standard prep procedures (peeling, chopping, portioning).Understanding of basic cooking methods (boil, steam, grill, bake).Ability to follow recipes and plating guides with supervision.Awareness of sanitation practices, proper food storage, and temperature logs.Willingness to rotate between prep, salad station, banquets, and dish area as training.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients before cooking.Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation regulations.Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service.Monitor food inventory and communicate shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.Follow proper portion control and presentation techniques.Assist in the development of new menu items and specials.Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.Skills RequiredProvide high-level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressureTechnical SkillsSafe and appropriate use and operation of kitchen equipmentKnife skills, grill, broiler, sauté and Expediter skills; garde manger experienceSpeed in meal production while ensuring high-quality foodWillingness to rotate between prep, salad station, banquets, and dish area as training.Experience / Education Minimum 1 years’ experience; high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience; experience with receiving orders and inventory control helpful; Culinary Arts education preferred; Serve-Safe Certification and Allergy Awareness Training preferredThe Olympia Companies is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing employment opportunities to qualified applicants without regard to such characteristics as race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, genetic information, protected veteran status or any other factor protected by applicable law.
