Get ready to embark on a culinary journey like no other at BOA Steakhouse Las Vegas.What You’ll Do:A Line Cook plates dishes and completes basic food prepping tasks. This includes preparing and cooking food at a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked.Your Key Responsibilities:Have an extensive knowledge of our restaurant’s food offerings and beverage programAlways comply with our standard portion sizes, recipe specifications, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules and restaurant policies and proceduresPrepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipmentAssemble items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinatingFollow proper plate presentation and prepare garnishes for all dishesStock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service periodAssist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as neededHandle, store and rotate all products properly (FIFO = First-In, First-Out)Perform station opening/closing and side work duties for each shiftMaintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipmentCreate a positive work environment for our employees through friendly, caring and professional communicationDemonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressureEmbody and deliver on exceptional service and hospitalityRequirements:What we are looking for:2 years previous experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurantAbility to multi-task and work efficiently under pressurePossesses a strong familiarity with food service regulations and proper food handling proceduresStrong communication skills, both with guests and teammatesA positive, upbeat attitude with a strong work ethicFlexible availability to work days, nights, weekends – we’re looking for team players who can adapt to the flow of the restaurantA valid Food Handler Card (must have upon hire)Ability to work standing for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and manage a physically demanding roleMust be 18 years or olderWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
