Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAre you a culinary enthusiast with a passion for cooking and creating memorable dishes? Neighborly is seeking a Line Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. As a Line Cook at Neighborly, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of dishes according to our established recipes. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining the standards of cleanliness and safety in our kitchen. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares a variety of dishes ranging from meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items using Neighborly’s established recipesPrepares dishes by cooking within ovens, woks, grills, broilers and a variety of kitchen equipmentAssumes responsibility for quality of products servedComplies consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and proceduresStocks and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth servicePortions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specificationsPrepares items for broiling, grilling, baking, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.Handles, stores and rotates all products properlyAssists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as neededPerforms related duties such as helping fellow kitchen team members as neededMaintains cleanliness and sanitation standards; participates in opening and closing proceduresUpholds company safety and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and employeesQUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:Excellent culinary skillsSense of urgency and able to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgroundsAbility to work as a team-playerAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and organizeAble to work flexible hours as necessaryBoth Part-Time and Full-Time positions availableEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 2 years experienceHigh-volume restaurant experience preferredESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONSMust have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 30 hours a weekAbility to stand/walk for 8 hours per dayMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsWill frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, and carry ingredients, kitchen equipment, etc.Must be able to tolerate potential allergens to include peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy-based ingredients, seafood and shellfishCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS$17.75-$20.00/hour dependent on experienceTips for all hourly Team Members (non-management positions)Medical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid sick time offWhy Neighborly?We’re more than a job—at Neighborly, we believe in creating a space where every guest and team member feels at home.
