Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are El Gallo Taqueria in Weston seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and execution of delicious dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Duties:- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.- Assist in cooking and preparing various menu items under the guidance of the chef- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash and organizing of all areas.- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Closely following FIFO.- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages-Preferred knowledge of Mexican cuisine (sauces, preparations, dishes)-Strong knife skills with ability to execute dishes consistently and effectively.-Expert in all food safety procedures-Culinary degree is a plus.-Ability to work well with a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment.-Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet standards.-Maintains workspace clean at all times.-Cleaning and dishwashing is part as well.Experience:- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or culinary environment is preferred- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards- Ability to work well in a team setting- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation techniquesIf you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen setting, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Line Cook/Prep Cook.Powered by JazzHRBPEYnAttrc
