We value collaboration and believe in treating others with the same warmth and respect we would want for ourselves.JOB DESCRIPTION:We are looking for a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen and be passionate about food preparation and presentation. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for executing menu items consistently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality expectations.Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets presentation standards.Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen management.Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.Support the team with any additional kitchen tasks as needed.TOOLS & TECHNOLOGY:Commercial use blenders, grinders, slicers, broilers, convection ovens, deep fryers, griddles, grills, microwave ovens, ranges, rotisseries, steamers, cutlery (boning knives, chefs' knives, paring knives), ovens (conveyor ovens, rotating rack ovens, salamander ovens),Domestic knives (cimeter knives, filet knives, utility knives)Personal computersPoint of sale terminalMenu planning softwareInventory management softwareQUALIFICATOINS:Basic English speaking is a mustMust be available to work nights as well as weekends.Must have 2+ years in a New York City fast-paced restaurantBe able to lift 35+ pounds and stand on feet for extended periods of time.BENEFITS:Full-Time Employees are offered Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 401K, Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, Paid Family Leave, Career Advancement Opportunities, Professional Training, Regularly Scheduled Team Building Activities.COMPENSATION RANGE:The base pay range for this position is a range of $20 per hour.
