Whether guests are enjoying happy hour, dinner, or a late-night show, our kitchen is the backbone of every great visit.If you’re a culinary-minded professional who works well under pressure, values both consistency and creativity, and thrives in a high-energy bar/restaurant environment, we want you on our team.What You’ll DoAs a Line Cook at Trainwreck Saloon, you will:Prepare, cook, and plate menu items consistently and to spec during lunch, dinner, and late-night serviceWork multiple stations (grill, sauté, fryer, prep) while maintaining quality, speed, and cleanlinessRead and interpret work orders, mise en place, and prep sheetsMonitor food quality, temperature, and presentation standardsAssist with recipe execution, portion control, and maintaining food cost targetsEnsure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and stocked throughout serviceAdhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulationsCollaborate with kitchen staff, expeditors, and servers to ensure smooth service flowCommunicate shortages, issues, and equipment needs to managementContribute ideas to specials, menu items, and process improvementsWhat We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications & Skills:Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant settingComfortable cooking across multiple stations and stylesStrong knowledge of food safety and sanitation proceduresAbility to work evenings, weekends, and late nightsPhysical stamina — able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, work in hot environmentsExcellent time management, organization, and ability to multitaskAbility to thrive in a high-energy environmentPreferred / Nice-to-Haves:Experience in a bar/restaurant or tavern environmentFamiliarity with American pub / comfort food menusKnife skills and efficient prep techniquesCreativity and willingness to contribute to menu ideasAbility to adapt in a busy, dynamic kitchenWhy Join Trainwreck SaloonCompetitive hourly wage + opportunity for performance-based bonusesStaff meals and meal discountsA fun, social, music-forward work environmentOpportunity for growth — we promote from withinFlexible shift options (for the right candidate)Training and mentorship from seasoned culinary leaders
