We are currently looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to join our team as a Back of House Staff: Line Cook with Grill & Pantry/ Sauté/Fry and Brunch ExperienceThe Back of House Team Members interact with guests and staff in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner, will learn & understand our menu recipes, and build and work cleanly and efficiently. He or she will help with other duties such as cleaning and/or prep work, and learn all stations. The ideal candidate has a pleasant and courteous personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong guest service skills.Availability: Weekends are a must!Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience - $16-$20Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.Grill Cook experience is a Plus!Job Overview:The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to our restaurant's recipes and standards. In the simplest of terms, if you’re looking for a great place to work with a great clientele, a high level of consistency, and the support of your peers and management, this is the opportunity for you.Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):Follows proper Dress Code and Servsafe/Health Department guidelines.Line Checks and Temperature Log structure followed.Follow all the recipes and build sheets every time.Prepare and cook food items according to our restaurant's recipes and standardsSet up and stock stations with all necessary suppliesEnsure that food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented in an appealing mannerFollow food safety and sanitation guidelinesMaintain a clean and organized work areaWork with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are completed on timeAssist with inventory and ordering of supplies as neededProven experience as a Line CookKnowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detailAbility to work well in a team environmentExcellent communication skillsAssumes 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.Assists in food prep assignments and dishwashing during off-peak periods as needed.Opening and/or closing the kitchen properly and following the checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening and/or closing the kitchen.Helps maintain the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, prep, walk-ins, restrooms, dish areas, and outside areas through the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning lists.Attends all scheduled employee meetings.Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-duty.Requirements:
