JOB DESCRIPTION

Line Lead

We are seeking a dedicated Line Lead for the first shift, running from 4am to 3pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays. The role involves assisting in directing production and supporting production supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operators are properly trained and informed of their job responsibilities.
  • Ensure operators follow production and quality procedures as outlined in the manuals.
  • Communicate procedural changes to employees.
  • Notify the supervisor of irregularities and assist in containment and rework of products.
  • Identify and record problems related to products, processes, and quality systems.
  • Ensure production does not resume until the Quality Department verifies that corrective actions or changes did not affect the quality of the part.
  • Assist in determining and implementing corrective actions.
  • Follow and ensure the implementation of all Quality Alerts and shift-to-shift production communications.
  • Ensure labels identifying components are present at each basket.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations with supervisor input and approval.
  • Assist the supervisor with employee disciplinary actions.
  • Schedule meetings with line operators to inform them of changes in company procedures or policies and review current processes or areas of improvement with supervisor input.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Quality check proficiency

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must pass in-house weld test.
  • Prior lead experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

The position is based in a manufacturing environment, which is fast-paced and involves both automotive and agriculture production. Some areas may be hotter than others, and the environment is not temperature-controlled. The facility is well-lit and clean.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mansfield, OH.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $41600.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
