ResponsibilitiesPeratons Space & Intelligence Sector is looking for a Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator to join our diverse team at our Herndon VA office. The candidate will be responsible for integrating and troubleshooting deployed systems.As a Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator you will do among the following:Onboard new microservices ensuring smooth deployment and troubleshooting as needed.Monitor systems daily and ensure timely monthly OS patching software updates AV/AM updates for all assigned systemsTroubleshoot Windows Server and 10/11 client and application performance issues recommending effective solutions.Rapidly address and resolve customer issues through a ticketing tracking system.QualificationsRequired QualificationsA Bachelors degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR a Masters degree with 0 years of relevant experience OR an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirementActive Security (DoD 8570 Baseline certification for IAT Lvl 2)Experience with installation management troubleshooting and maintenance of RHEL Linux OS variants (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9 Oracle Linux 8/9 Rocky Linux) Experience installing and configuring RPM software packages Experience maintaining system documentation including reading and creating network architecture diagramsExperience with Virtualization systems (VMWare Nutanix)TS with Ability to obtain SCI and pass polyPreferred QualificationsFamiliar with operating Linux clients in an Active Directory domain. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
