Position Overview

Our established, high-volume civil litigation defense firm is seeking a seasoned Civil Litigator to join our San Antonio office. Headquartered in Austin, our firm is looking for a dedicated advocate to manage a diverse and active caseload. The ideal candidate will possess a rigorous work ethic, sophisticated legal acumen, and a proven track record in defense litigation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and lead various phases of civil litigation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice.

• Develop and execute strategic defense plans for cases involving general liability, premises liability, vehicular accidents, worksite injuries, products liability, and construction defects.

• Conduct extensive legal research and draft high-quality briefs, pleadings, and legal memoranda.

• Represent clients effectively in court hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of defense experience specifically within general liability, premises liability, auto/worksite accidents, products liability, or construction defect litigation.

• Trial Skills: Previous trial experience is strongly preferred.

• Appellate Work: Experience in appellate litigation is considered a significant asset.

• Core Competencies: Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

• Business Development: While a portable book of business is welcomed, it is not a requirement; we provide a robust and steady volume of existing work.
