JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description Job Description Stand Up for Clients. Defend Their Future. Make Every Case Count.

At MRA Law Group, we believe immigration law is about more than legal filings - it's about protecting families, preserving opportunities, and fighting for people whose futures are on the line.

We are a fast-growing immigration law firm dedicated exclusively to U.S. Immigration Law, serving individuals and families facing some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Our clients trust us with matters that can determine where they live, whether families stay together, and what opportunities await them in the future.

We are seeking a passionate and driven Immigration Litigation Attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to step into a role where advocacy, strategy, and leadership matter every day.

This is not a behind-the-scenes position. You will be on the front lines, representing clients, developing legal strategies, and fighting for meaningful outcomes in high-stakes immigration matters.

What You'll Do:

As a Litigation Attorney, you will serve on the front lines of immigration advocacy, representing clients whose futures, families, and safety may depend on the outcome of their cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients before the Immigration Courts (EOIR), USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
  • Represent clients at USCIS interviews, adjustment of status interviews, asylum interviews, and other immigration-related appointments
  • Conduct Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, Bond Hearings, and other immigration court appearances
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies for removal defense, asylum, humanitarian relief, waivers, and other complex immigration matters
  • Prepare and argue motions, briefs, appeals, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex immigration and procedural issues
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony, hearings, and immigration interviews
  • Advocate passionately and effectively before Immigration Judges, USCIS officers, and government agencies
  • Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and support teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes
  • Manage a diverse litigation caseload while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service
  • Build trusted relationships with clients during some of the most critical moments of their lives
What You'll Bring:

We are looking for an attorney who combines strong litigation skills with a deep commitment to immigrant advocacy.

Qualifications include:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 3 years of immigration law experience
  • Experience appearing before EOIR and handling immigration court proceedings
  • Experience with removal defense, asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, and humanitarian forms of relief strongly preferred
  • Strong oral advocacy, legal writing, litigation, and research skills
  • Ability to develop legal strategy and manage complex litigation matters independently
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload with urgency, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Additional languages such as Haitian Creole, Portuguese, or other multilingual capabilities are highly valued
Who Thrives Here:

The attorneys who succeed at MRA Law Group share a few common traits:

  • They care deeply about immigrant communities and the challenges they face.
  • They believe legal advocacy has the power to transform lives.
  • They understand that every hearing, motion, interview, and legal argument carries real consequences for their clients.
  • They are confident in the courtroom and compassionate with the people they represent.
  • They think strategically and prepare thoroughly for every case.
  • They remain calm under pressure and resilient through challenges.
  • They adapt effectively to changing laws, policies, and case developments.
  • They take ownership rather than waiting for direction.
  • They embrace accountability and hold themselves to high standards because their clients deserve excellence.
  • They are collaborative, solutions-oriented, and committed to achieving meaningful results.
  • They build trust with clients through empathy, professionalism, and clear communication.
  • They are motivated by purpose and want their work to have a lasting impact.
What You'll Find Here:

At MRA Law Group, you'll join a team of attorneys, paralegals, case coordinators, and client care professionals who are united by a common mission: helping immigrants and their families build safer, stronger futures.

Our culture is built around our CARE values:

  • Collaboration

You will be supported, challenged, and given the opportunity to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
