We are seeking an experienced Energy & Environmental Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Baton Rouge New Orleans or Houston. This is a 100% in-office position. DutiesAssist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case inception through discovery resolution or trial post-trial and case closurePrepare court filings and assembling of exhibitsDraft and respond to discovery demands (interrogatories documents production etc.)Assist with preparation and support for depositions hearings and mediationsReview and summarize depositions and medical recordsMaintain case dockets and calendarsAssist with document collections reviews and document productionsCoordinate electronic discoveryPersonal Attributes RequiredExhibits professional verbal and written communication skillsKeen attention to detail and strong organizational skillsPossess strong technical skillsMust be able to multi-task and successfully manage a variety of demands dailyMust have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven team environmentKeeps appropriate people informed of the status of projects work and deadlinesMaintains a positive and can do attitudeFlexible and willing to pitch in wherever neededExperience and Education RequirementsBachelors or Associates degree preferred; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program highly desiredMinimum of 3 years prior paralegal experienceComprehensive knowledge of all facets of the litigation lifecycle: case management document review and trial supportPreferred experience with Relativity or a comparable litigation support platformTechnical proficiency in Word Excel and PowerPoint requiredWhat Kean Miller OffersWe offer a people-first culture meaningful work competitive salaries and an extensive benefits package that includes health life disability dental vision coverage and 401(k).
