The salary grade and range listed in the posting is reflective of a 100% Full-time position. Full-time equivalency job offers may fall outside of the listed range due to the assigned percentage of effort.POSITION SPECIFICSThe Residence Life Office is seeking a dynamic energetic individual to join the team!The Living Learning Community Coordinator is a vital part of the team in helping to continue the vision and mission of the department specifically around the Living Learning Communities (LLC). They are responsible to the Senior Assistant Director for maintaining and establishing relationships with Faculty and Advisers implementing strategies to assess the effectiveness of the Living Learning Community on student success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Living Learning Community Coordinator:Advise or co-advise with Faculty Associates multiple LLC student organizationsProvide support and training for Resident AssistantsProvide support and training for LLC student organizationsStudent Development and Residence Education:Plan implement and evaluate the Living Learning Communities residence education program for the departmentMakes referrals to university agencies when appropriateEncourages student involvement in residential and University engagement opportunitiesAdvocates for students by communicating their concerns and issues to the appropriate agencyAdvises individual students with academic career and personal concernsInterpret and enforce University and residence hall policies and proceduresAdministration:Responsible for the daily operation and organization of the Living Learning CommunitiesAssist in promoting the safety and security of area residentsDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with Faculty Associates Assignments Housing and Food Services Safety and Security New Student Programs etcAdministrator the LLC records (contact information for faculty/staff/students involved in the LLC active status process LLC traditions etc.) to ensure a smooth transitionAssist in the implementation and assessment of the Higher Education 302 class.Teach a 3-credit class during the Fall and Spring semestersCommunity Development:Demonstrates a commitment to students and the quality of their life in the residence hall environmentAssist the LLC E-boards in developing and promoting a positive living environmentDemonstrates a commitment to diversity and social justice issuesPlans and implements programs in conjunction with Resident Assistants and LLC student leadershipDemonstrates a commitment to staff and student retention and recruitment efforts particularly as they impact members of underrepresented groupsMiscellaneous:Participate in committees and task force groupsAssists in the recruitment and training of professional staffAssists in the development and implementation of goals for the area and the residence hall systemShould possess a thorough understanding of the role and purpose of residence hall living as it applies to student developmentPerforms other duties as assignedMINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONSBachelors Degree
3 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
