MetaSense, Inc. is seeking a local contract Medical Lab Technician for a local contract job in Detroit, Michigan.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Medical Lab TechnicianDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: ASAPDuration: 12 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: Local ContractMinimum Experience:3 - years of experienceCertifications:BLS , MLTTechnology:Epic, Sunquest CoPathPlush (LIS)Hours: 8-5, Monday through Friday (Potential Flex hours 9:-5 or 9:30 - 6:00)Prior experience in clinical labs, handling specimens and comfortable in PPE. A fair amount of testing is prenatal testing. Important: We are looking for a resource with sample receipt and accessioning, and lab bench experience rather than phlebotomy.Job Summary:Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems.
