Job DescriptionHunter Recruiting is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for a local contract job in Akron, Ohio.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Occupational TherapistDiscipline: TherapyStart Date: 12/29/2025Duration: 26 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: Local ContractOT - OUTPATIENT - Akron, OH Full time, M-F, and can be scheduled between the hours of 7:30am-6:00pm The Occupational Therapist utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate/assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities Responsibilities:1. Utilizes professional knowledge and behaviors to evaluate, assess and treat patients with a variety of physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.2. Communicates effectively with patient, family members, and team members as needed.3. Performs appropriate and necessary documentation and patient/family education.4. Supervises COTA/L, volunteer, or student per OT regulations.5. Other duties as required.Other information:Technical Expertise1. Experience in occupational therapy is required.2. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.3. Experience in healthcare is preferred.4. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.Education and Experience1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required; Master’s degree is preferred.2. Certification: Certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and current Ohio state licensure is required.3. Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
