Local CDL Driver

Join a reputable family-owned manufacturing company based in French Lick, Indiana, as a CDL Driver. This role involves transporting empty and full semi-trailers between facilities to support our manufacturing and packaging operations. Enjoy local shuttle driving with predictable routes, ensuring you'll be home every night and never work on Sundays or holidays.

Responsibilities

Move trailers between company facilities and dock doors according to logistical needs.
Hook up and drop trailers safely and efficiently based on production schedules.
Complete all trailer and dock-related safety procedures and inspections.
Distinguish between live loads and preloads, using good judgment to prioritize duties.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Communicate effectively with the shipping/receiving team and supervisors.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Valid Class A CDL.
Safety-focused mindset and adherence to DOT regulations.
Good judgment in load prioritization.
Effective communication skills with team members and supervisors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

HAZMAT endorsement preferred, but company will facilitate if needed.
Previous commercial driving experience is preferred but not required.
Experience operating in tight spaces and backing into dock doors with precision.
Familiarity with chemical manufacturing environments and associated safety protocols is beneficial.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Work Environment

Work between facilities in French Lick, with a maximum driving distance of 10 miles one-way. Enjoy a predictable schedule with two shifts available: 1st shift (6:30am-3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3:30pm-11:45pm). The work is outdoors in all weather conditions, with standard work attire appropriate for driving and outdoor work. Steel-toed boots are required, and PPE is provided as needed. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $52000.00/yr. Client Benefits Summary: Overtime Overtime is consistently available when justified by workload.
