Emergency Medicine Physician - Locum Opportunity in Elkader IAJoin MercyOne Elkader Medical Center as an Emergency Medicine Physician!Our facility provides a supportive environment equipped with modern medical imaging laboratory services and a dedicated nursing support team. We are looking for a locum physician to help meet the emergency care needs of our community. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care while working in a friendly and welcoming setting.Job Responsibilities:Function as the sole provider covering the Emergency Department and Med/Surg at the facility.Provide emergency care and inpatient skilled care as required.Collaborate with a small team comprising 2 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider.Utilize a fully equipped ED with modern medical imaging capabilities.Manage an average of 3.6 ER patients per day and 1.4 Med/Surg patients.Perform necessary emergency procedures as indicated.Document patient care efficiently using EPIC EMR.Qualifications:Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (REQUIRED)Active Iowa Medical License (REQUIRED)DEA and CSR certifications in hand (REQUIRED)Clean malpractice history with no background issues (REQUIRED)License and Certification Requirements:All candidates must have the following certifications and licenses prior to commencement:Board Certification in Emergency MedicineActive Iowa LicenseDEA and CSRClean Malpractice HistoryElkader IA is a vibrant community surrounded by beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
