Job Title: Locum Physician - GastroenterologyJoin our dynamic healthcare team in Midlothian Virginia at a well-respected medical center seeking locum coverage for Gastroenterology. Our facility is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare with a welcoming environment ensuring optimal patient care and support for our healthcare professionals.Job Responsibilities:Provide weekend hospital call coverage (Saturday and Sunday).Perform outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine as required.Conduct various procedures including:Esophageal Dilatation/ManometryLower GI Endoscopy Colonoscopy and SigmoidoscopyLiver Biopsy and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore TubeUpper GI Endoscopy (with biopsy and foreign body removal)Utilize EMR (Epic) in daily operations.Handle an average of 8 procedures per weekend.Qualifications:Board Certified in Gastroenterology REQUIREDActive VA medical license REQUIREDFlu shot compliance REQUIREDCOVID Vaccination HIGHLY PREFERREDClean malpractice history for temporary privileges REQUIREDExperience in ERCP and EUS procedures REQUIRED and PREFERRED respectivelyAvailability to cover open shifts REQUIREDLicense and Certification Requirements:Board Certification in GastroenterologyActive Virginia medical licenseMalpractice insurance coverage of at least $2.6MDiscover the charm of Midlothian Virginia a vibrant community with rich history and access to outdoor activities.
